I have been a composer, opera singer, and rather unorthodox Russian Orthodox priest. I currently work as a (mainly secular) funeral celebrant. I have lived in Hastings since 1987.
Walking has been one of my most constant companions throughout my adult life. Once, in my 20s, I completed a walk of 502 miles, and the lure of that particular challenge-and-freedom has always whispered in my ear. I walk daily in Hastings Country Park, marking the minute changes in the seasons which can always be seen. But this walk is different; it feels like a consummation.
