Night of the 2nd near the eastern end of Lochan Fada (after a couple of big climbs) then the night of the 3rd at the southeastern end of Loch Coulin? (A long but less steep stretch.) Tonight could be a wild one somewhere near Loch an Laioch? (Tough last climb at Bealach Bhearnais!) (You’ll have done nearly 150 miles at this point.)

Btw, I’ve just dropped my latest black IPA into mini kegs today. (It’s looking very promising if I say so myself.) It’ll be all gone well before I see you next, I’m afraid. (Worry not, there’ll be plenty of others where that came from.)

Pete and I have been tossing and doing another fly-through from Ullapool and we have decided that I was a bit enthusiastic with my predictions. A revised estimate is that tonight (4th) you are staying at Craig.

Toby has just informed Toss (10.50pm) that he is in Torridon (on the coast) which means that he has gone off-piste (for provisions – which is perfectly acceptable). This means that our latest prediction of Craig for this evening was probably right had he not have had to deviate from the published route (for the aforementioned reason). I would suggest, as an acceptable deviation from the rules, that he rejoins the official route via Lochcarron as I can attest to the outstanding beauty of these environs, and because it would actually add extra distance, but more soul-food to his odyssey than he had planned. Go Toby!

Amazing! 150 miles already, I do hope you are having a little rest now before you go on…

I had a rest day in Ullapool. Trying to quickly update posts before continuing my journey. Looking forward to seeing you on the last evening of the journey.
